LotMaster - Parking Lot Load Control

Features:

Programmable controller based
EEPROM ( permanent ) memory
Fail-safe - loss of PLC or RTD input will force remote contactors to "on" state
Non Fail-safe - Drive up to 6 circuits at 20 amps each from internal contactors
Supplied industrial grade RTD for remote mounting
Adjustable "cycle time" from 4 to 15 minutes
Adjustable "full power temperature" from -20C. to -30C

Operation:

Temperature is sensed from a remote mounted RTD sensor
The contactors are cycled on and off depending on the temperature as follows:
% "on" of "cycle time"   Temperature
  0%    above -5C.
  25%   -5C. to -10C.
  50%   -10C. to -15C.
75%   -15C. to "full power temperature"
  100%   below "full power temperature"

The contactors will be staggered i.e. ( contactor 1 will start it’s "on" period while contactor 2 will start it’s "off" period ). This is done to give minimum overlap and reduce thermal loading.

Installation:

  1. Mount RTD using a condulet and piece of pvc pipe - extend RTD approximately 1" out of end of pipe and seal with duct seal.
  2. Mount RTD away from reflective surfaces that may cause false heating of the probe.
  3. Wire from RTD to terminal strip in LotMaster using 2 conductor shielded cable.
  4. Connect to terminals observing colour coding shown.
  5. Tie the shield wire to the terminal marked "SH"
  6. Do not run the RTD wire in conduit with other current carrying cables.
  7. Select Failsafe or Non Failsafe mode of operation by removing jumper between C and C1

- Failsafe - jumper in

Circuits will be forced on if there is an RTD or PLC failure
Connect remote contactors or relays to terminals on strip

- Non Failsafe - jumper out

Circuits will be off if there is an RTD or PLC failue
Connect up to 6 circuits of 20 amps each to the contactor
  1. Connect 120v ac to power the unit to terminals L and N ( leave power off until last step)
  2. Open the hinged door on the right side of the PLC.
  3. Using the supplied screwdriver ( inside hinged door ) or equivalent adjust the following:
  4. Left hand dial - adjusts the overall ( on plus off ) cycle time from 4 to 15 minutes
  5. Right hand dial - sets the "full power temperature" from -20C. to -30C.
  6. Energize control panel.
  7. Enjoy your power savings.
